As the Director, Quote to Cash, Jacob overseas Gears’ Salesforce practice devoted to designing and delivering best-in-class quoting, e-Commerce, Contract Lifecycle Management, and e-Signature solutions for our customers. At the heart of every business are the products and services they sell and Jacob is driven to understand the end-to-end process of identifying the right product or service to be sold, through getting paid for that sale. It’s through a deep understanding of that business process that Jacob is able to recommend creative, cutting edge solutions leveraging CPQ, B2B Commerce, and Conga’s suite of Composer, Contracts, and e-Signature applications.

Jacob was first introduced to Salesforce through an internship at an independent record label in Chicago nearly a decade ago. It was love at first sight as part of his responsibilities included managing the label’s artist, venue, and marketing data in Salesforce. This opened the door to move into a Marketing Database Manager role with FranklinCovey and in 2012, he made the decision to fully dedicate his career to Salesforce as a full-time Salesforce Administrator for Health Forum, a healthcare technology division of the American Hospital Association. Throughout his career, Jacob has been recognized for his keen problem-solving skills and his ability to stay cool under pressure.

When he’s not saving the world with technology, Jacob loves singing, playing the violin, and writing music. His rendition of ‘I Want it That Way’ by the Backstreet Boys earned him the golden microphone at Gears’ first annual karaoke competition. Although he grew up near Denver, Chicago is where he calls home and loves exploring the city, running by Lake Michigan, and watching lots of reality tv.
